Grand Duke Jean (95) was forced to spend the Christmas holidays in a hospital. The father of Grand Duke Henri is suffering a bronchitis.

The Grand Ducal Court communicated on Tuesday that Grand Duke Jean already had to be hospitalised a few days ago. His doctors are satisfied with his recovery, however they prefer to keep him in the hospital for observation for a few more days.

Grand Duke Jean will celebrate his 96th birthday next week, on January 5, 2017.
