PM Xavier Bettel presents new tech initiative

Back in December Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Étienne Schneider, announced the creation of a new “Joint Innovation Center” in Luxembourg with Vodafone and Technoport SA.

After months of work the initiative called ‘Tomorrow Street’ was presented by Bettel at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona on Monday evening, along with the Vodafone Group.

‘Tomorrow Street’ is intended to give young tech companies the opportunity to expand their international network via Vodafone.

Ninian Wilson, General Manager of Vodafone, said in December, ” The innovation centre creates a unique platform to help small companies go global. The environment in Luxembourg is ideally suited to supporting such activities in the ICT space.”

Vodafone has been in Luxembourg for 15 years and employs around 300 people in the country.
