Luxembourg global leader in highly-skilled employees

According to the newly released World Economic Forum Human Capital Report 2015, Luxembourg ranks first in the sub-category of ‘Top 10 countries with the largest share of people in high-skilled employment’ within the group of the 25 to 54 year olds, comprising professions such as managers, professionals and technicians.

Overall, the Grand Duchy ranks 21st out of 124 countries featuring in the report. 46.9% of the Luxembourg population works in the services sector, while 30% hold a tertiary education position as a manager, professional or technician. In terms of highly-skilled employees, in the EU Luxembourg is only followed by Sweden on rank 6, the UK on rank 8 and the Netherlands on rank 9.
