Wide Organises Film Screening, Artificial Intelligence and Mindful Entrepreneurship Events

Women in Digital Empowerment (WIDE) has announced a series of events for this month and next, starting with a conference on “Robotic Process Automation + Biases in AI” planned for 28 November 2017.

The first event in Wide’s upcoming agenda will be a talk hosted by Paul Wurth InCub (5 Rue de l’Industrie) on the advantages and business contexts of Robotic Process Automation as well as the biases that exist within Artificial Intelligence based systems and how they impact decision making and daily life. The event will take place next Tuesday 28 November from 18:30 to 20:00. Next on the agenda will be a lunch time workshop on 1 December on personal branding entitled “What is your personal brand- and how to use it?”. On this occasion, expert Vania Henry will guide participants as they create a consistent personal brand and learn how to use it in business meetings and online platforms. On the same day, Maurizio Cortesi will give an afternoon workshop entitled “Build your vision and mission”. Through a series of explorative exercises, participants will move between different questions, using mindfulness practices to foster awareness and creativity. Finally, on 4 December, there will be a private screening of the film Hidden Figures in partnership with the US Embassy in Luxembourg. This award-winning film tells the story of three female African-American mathematicians who were crucial to NASA during the early years of the US space programme. The screening and panel discussions at Ciné Utopia will be followed by a networking cocktail.
