Domino’s EBIT fell by 11 percent despite multiple stores opened
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, which includes the Pizzaformule branch, opened 294 new stores worldwide in the past financial year. Domino’s opened so many stores in one year.
Although sales increased by 4.3 percent, Domino’s gross operating profit (ebit) fell by 11 percent year-on-year. According to the fast food chain, a lot of costs were incurred to restart operations in Denmark. Compared to the year before the corona crisis, ebit was almost 22 percent higher. Exactly how high sales and profit are, the company does not report.
In Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia), the first stores were opened last year. As a result, Misja Vroom, ceo in the Netherlands, will now also have Belgium and Luxembourg under his care. Ringo Joannes, ceo of the Belux market, will lead the Asian operations.
Domino’s currently has 1401 stores in Europe. The fast food chain wants to grow to 3050 branches by 2033.
