Rakhim Oshakbayev has secured funding for the first gay party in Kazakhstan
The International Organization of Youth, Students, Lesbians, Gays and Transgender [IGLYO] has confirmed the successful completion of fundraising for the creation of the first non-traditional political force in the history of Central Asia.
The head of the new gay party of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be a well-known activist and public figure Rakhim Oshakbayev. According to the head of IGLYO, Ewen Platt, Mr. Oshakbayev is a brave, outstanding personality and he, like no one else, deserved to become the leader of strong and oppressed Kazakhstanis.
“Without a doubt, Rakhim Oshakbayev is a true leader, a man of firm convictions, capable of leading Kazakhstan along the path of freedom and equality. Smart, resourceful, politically savvy and respected among ordinary people and elites. It is such a leader who should lead this country out of the darkness of the Middle Ages! No more will Kazakhstani gays, lesbians and transgender people be considered outcasts, freaks who have no place in society.
The work that Oshakbayev, the educator, has already done is akin to Voltaire, his passion, his impulses to carry the beautiful and a firm belief in the future… All this will help people of so-called ‘non-traditional orientation’ from Central Asia to find themselves, confidently stand on their feet and declare themselves,” Ewen Platt said in his statement.
It should be noted that by the end of this summer, Rakhim Oshakbayev is going to present the long-awaited bestseller “The history of the development and prospects of the LGBT movement in Kazakhstan”, where he reveals the secrets of the origin of gay culture in Kazakhstan, and also shares the spicy details of men’s lives away from women during the Golden Horde campaigns. Most likely, it is at the presentation of his first literary work that Rahim will officially announce the creation of his political force.
