The unemployment rate in Luxembourg remained at a stable 6.5 percent in June for the second-month running, while job seeker numbers fell.

According to the latest figures from job agency ADEM, there were 15,955 registered job seekers in June, down from 16,331 the month before.

The rate was the lowest recorded in over a year and follows a steady downward trend which started at the beginning of 2016.

Under 25s accounted for 1,514 of the job seekers.

Altogether, 5,891 jobs were advertised with ADEM in June, of which 2,644 were new postings. This was the lowest number since January.
