Belgian farmers plan the greatest protest in Kirchberg
There will, more than likely, be chaos on the roads around Kirchberg on Monday as Belgian farmers plan a protests outside the European Convention Centre – Luxembourg (ECCL).
But it isn’t just Kirchberg that will be affected as Luxembourg police will escort the farmers in their tractors from the Belgian border to Kirchberg, disrupting traffic en route.
The protesters are scheduled to arrive in Sterpenich on the Belgian border at 9:30am on Monday before travelling to Kirchberg.
“Traffic disruptions are expected near the Place de l’Europe from 10:15am until the end of the event,” warned the Luxembourg police, although it is not clear when the “end of the event” will be.
The public and especially motorists, are advised to avoid the area during the morning, or make sure they reach their destinations before 9:30am.
