Police are appealing for witnesses in last night’s car blaze on the motorway near Trier-Ehrang. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they made a gruesome discovery: a charred body was inside.

It has since been confirmed that the body was that of a woman, although her identity is yet to be determined.

Witnesses reported the incident to emergency services, but it is unclear how long the car had been burning before they arrived on the scene, or how the accident had occurred.

An investigation was therefore launched, and police have asked the public for any information. The car was an older Mazda 323 was standing on a parking lot along the B422 between Kordel and Trier-Ehrang.
