Luxembourg sees 4% increase in cross-border workers
Almost 180,000 people cross the borders of Germany, Belgium and France daily to work in Luxembourg.
Data from Luxembourg’s employment agency ADEM for January show that the number of cross-border workers increased by 4% year on year.
According to ADEM, 179,500 people are crossing the border on their daily commutes to work in the Grand Duchy.
In December 2015, ADEM recorded 169,500 non-resident workers.
In a monthly comparison, there was an increase of 1.49%, or 2,640 more cross-border workers, in January.
