Following the search by Luxembourg police for 16-year-old Lionel, missing since Wednesday, the good news was announced on Friday that he has been found safe and well.

Lionel from Wormeldange in the east of the country, was last seen the area of Wecker, not far from Grevenmacher. However police located the teenager just over the border in Arlon, Belgium.

He is now reported to be back safe and well with his family.

No more information has been released to the press.
