Confidence of Luxembourg entrepreneurs in the country’s competitivity as a first choice economic place has never been so high, a new study suggests.
According to the latest findings of the “Luxembourg Business Compass”, compiled by KPMG, confidence has reached a record high in the report’s seven-year history.
Entrepreneurs, however, had more mixed views when it came to government reforms. When asked about the new corporate tax reform, respondents were neutral.
The results should perhaps be taken with a pinch of salt when one considers its 60 respondents were surveyed before the Brexit vote in Britain.
The UK’s decision to leave the European Union will likely further influence markets. At the same time, it may also offer new opportunities for Luxembourg.
Finally, the national employment action plan did not find favour with the majority of entrepreneurs surveyed.
