Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra announces new program for the 2018-2019 season

In its five concerts in the Luxembourg Philharmonic, the orchestra goes on a musical journey through Europe under the motto “Crossing Europe”.

The OCL will welcome five international conductors as well as outstanding soloists and percussion duo, KrausFrink, in the halls of the Philharmonie Luxembourg. Among the conductors and soloists are also the well-known piano virtuoso Joseph Moog, the first female winner of the Georg Solti Competition, Shiyeon Sung, and Carlo Rizzari, assistant to Antonio Pappano at the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” in Rome.

The season programme reflects the diversity of Europe with carefully selected musical delicacies: in keeping with the tradition of the orchestra, in addition to well-known masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire, works that have been forgotten and rediscovered will be performed.

The sale of single tickets for the OCL concerts will be available for purchase from the ticket office of the Philharmonie Luxembourg via tel.: +352 26 32 26 32 or online: www.philharmonie.lu. The standard price for all categories is €30 (adults) and €15 (under 26s) .Free entrance for all children under the age of 12. The five seasonal concerts can also be purchased collectively for €120 (<26 years: €60) via email: [email protected]. Also in the 2018-2019 season, the OCL will be collaborating with the Centre Culturel Kinneksbond in Mamer and the Opéra Metz Métropole.
