Luxembourg cinema to get three prizes at Annecy festival
Three Luxembourg films nominated in the official competition at the Annecy festival, Europe’s most important festival for animation, came away with as many awards–including the most prestigious, the Cristal.
For many, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival is the Cannes of the animation world. And the prestigious Cristal for feature films is the equivalent of the Palme d’Or.
The Luxembourg co-production “Le Petit Nicolas – Qu’on attend pour être heureux?” was the recipient of a Cristal award. The film was co-produced by Lilian Eche and Christel Henon of Bidibul Productions, the executive producer of the project, and directed by Frenchmen Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre, based on the work of Goscinny and Sempé.
