The price of housing rose again in Luxembourg increasing by 5.6% in the second half of the year, compared to the same period of 2015, according to the BIL Immo.

The study, launched in October 2015, was conducted by the Bank Internationale de Luxembourg (BIL) in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

High real estate costs for both rent and purchase, have been for years one of the biggest problems for those who intend to settle in Luxembourg.

Last November, STATEC revealed that in the last 12 months the average sales price of ‘studios’ (1-room apartments) in the country was around 5,146 euros per square metre, while apartments of 130m2 or more cost around 4,136 euros/m².
