Fit4CodingJobs celebrates 100th certified web developer

On September 12, 2018, participants of the 8th session of the training course “Fit4Coding Jobs” received certificates of achievement.

Luxembourg Minister of Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy Nicolas Schmit, NumericALL manager Brigitte Lepage and ADEM director Isabelle Schlesser yesterday presented the participants with their certificates at a ceremony, organised at Technoport in Esch-Belval. The ceremony marked the passing of the threshold of 100 certified developers.

Fit4CodingJobs, funded by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy and the European Social Fund, allows candidates selected by the ADEM to receive free advanced training in the most widely used coding languages by Luxembourg companies (PHP, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, etc.), thus better preparing them for the labour market.

This intensive technical training, now offered in English, features a complete “Employability” module (employment techniques, mentoring, in addition to the devices provided by ADEM). It has proved successful with companies of all kinds looking for skills to support their growth: more than 80% of certified participants find a job within 6 months after the training, and some even have a contract before the end of the programme.

The Fit4CodingJobs programme will continue until the end of 2019 at Technoport.
