Luxembourg police are calling to the public for help in finding a man who fled a traffic control point just south of Wiltz.
The incident occurred on the N15 in the village of Büderscheid where police stopped a car with Belgian registered car during a traffic control.
Suddenly a man is reported to have jumped out of the vehicle, fleeing into the woods nearby on foot.
A search of the area then ensued including the use of a police helicopter, but at the time of writing (12pm) the fugitive was still at large.
The man is described as being around 1.85 metres tall with blond hair. He wore a black sweater and blue jeans.

Police are advising drivers in the area not to pick up hitchhikers.
Details of why the man fled the scene are either not known or have not been made public.
