Temperatures could drop to 8°C this week

It’s time to put your barbecue away and get your jumper out because it’s about to get colder this week.

After temperatures reached above 20°C at the weekend, Monday is much milder and temperatures are expected to reach a low of 8°C by the end of this week.

Thursday and Friday will be the coldest days, with temperatures of between 8C and 10C and an overcast throughout most of the day.

By Saturday it is expected to pick up to between 10°C and 12°C but with rain and heavy overcast.

The start of the week is still relatively mild with a maximum of 12°C on Tuesday and Wednesday with some sunny spells although gusts of up to 25km/h are expected on Wednesday.

A Metelox forecaster said Saturday will be “very cloudy with occasional rain”.
