PwC Luxembourg has launched a call for candidates for the PwC Cyber Security Day taking place in October 2016 in the Grand Duchy.

According to PwC Luxembourg, Cyber Security is becoming the top concern for leaders with governments, administrations, multinationals and SMEs looking to a new generation of Cyber Security solutions as a means of preventing, diagnosing and dealing with threats. The Cyber Security expert network of PwC Luxembourg and PwC’s Accelerator have joined forces with a view to providing executives with a comprehensive and operational overview of new solutions.

Ten technology finalists will present their next generation solutions in Cyber Security to 200 investors and corporate stakeholders at a global pitching competition and networking forum. With this in mind, PwC’s Accelerator is calling for innovative and fast-growing businesses to throw their hat into the ring for the chance to put forward their projects at the upcoming PwC Cyber Security Day.

“We’re looking for companies providing a next generation, disruptive and innovative solution addressing Cyber Security challenges,” commented Vincent Villers, partner and Cyber Security Leader at PwC Luxembourg.

Applications will be reviewed, according to their value proposition, internationalisation strategy, potentialy impact in the industry as well as its elevator pitch performance, by an independent jury before ten finalists are selected. The chosen companies will then be invited by PwC’s Accelerator to participate in a coaching programme, allowing them to gear up for the final presentations during the PwC Cyber Security Day to be held on 18 October 2016.

“The companies we select will pitch their solutions in front of 200 investors, corporates as well as major CEOs, CIOs and CISOs from Luxembourg and abroad, and get the chance to expand their global footprint,” explained Laurent Probst, partner at PwC Luxembourg and PwC’s Accelerator Network Global Leader.

Interested companies are invited to apply online here by 31 August 2016. Applicants should be companies with an internationally-oriented mindset and management, introducing a new technology with a next generation solution in Cyber Security, as a response to a true market need, preferably in a B2B model and proven on local markets.

“The ten selected companies will meet potential partners and investors carefully selected from our wide-ranging network during our matchmaking event,” added jointly Laurent Probst and Vincent Villers.
