Charles Goerens MEP to Address Brexit March

A Stop Brexit is being held on Wednesday 6 September from 16:00 from Kirchberg to Luxembourg-ville (Place Guillaume II).

Organised by EUnite, a group “fighting for our rights in the EU to be kept as they are now”, the event follows a day after a similar march being held in Brussels.

Charles Goerens will be addressing the rally at 18:00. He is a member of the Democratic Party and was an MEP from 1982 to 1984, from 1994 to 1999, and again from 2009 to the present. Since 2009, Charles Goerens has been serving as a member of the Committee on Development and of the Subcommittee on Human Rights. In addition, he is a member of the European Parliament Intergroup on “Extreme Poverty and Human Rights” and a vice-chairman of the cross-party Working Group on Fair Trade (sponsored by Fair Trade Advocacy). He was also Luxembourg’s Minister of Foreign Affairs prior to Jean Asselborn.
