6 suspected drug dealers arrested in Luxembourg City

Police investigation into drug dealing in the capital bore fruit this week when Luxembourg’s anti-drug teams made a number of arrests.

According to a police statement, three suspected drug dealers from Nigeria were arrested in the capital’s gare district on Monday.

The men were believed to be active in the cocaine trade. Body and house searches turned up a number of cocaine balls and large sums of cash.

On Wednesday, two more suspected drug dealers, also from Nigeria, were arrested in the same district. A later body scan revealed the suspects had swallowed several balls of cocaine, presumably to avoid detection.

Then, on Thursday night, police arrested a man fleeing officers in the gare area. The man threw a plastic bag away while he was pursued into Rue de Bonnevoie. The bag was found to contain more than 90 custom-made cocaine balls.
