Luxembourg firms affected by floods urged to contact ministry
Businesses which suffered as a result of the Luxembourg floods on July 22 are being urged to contact the Economy Ministry for a damages inventory.
Visiting companies in the worst affected communities of Cruchten, Larochette, Eppeldorf, Ermsdorf and Reisdorf on Monday, Secretary of State for the Economy Francine Closener said it was important to get an accurate overview of the damage caused to businesses and commercial facilities in the region.
“Noting that the inventory of affected companies carried out by my office is not yet exhaustive, I invite companies that have not yet taken the step to contact the Ministry of Economy,” she said.
At a governing council meeting on July 26, the government earmarked 30 million euros for the benefit of flood victims in Luxembourg.
