UK embassy “urgently seeking clarification” on travel rules

The UK embassy in Luxembourg is “urgently seeking clarification” from France after Brits who went home over the holidays reported problems coming back to the grand duchy.

Ambassador Fleur Thomas on Wednesday tweeted that the embassy was aware that British nationals wishing to return to Luxembourg by ferry or the channel tunnel “are experiencing difficulties”.

The company operating the Eurotunnel service on Wednesday said that British citizens, unless they live in France, can no longer transit through the country to get to their residence in the EU.
