On Friday 28 July, shortly after 17:00, the Grand Ducal Police arrested a man in Bertrange who was at the Drive-Inn of a drink shop.

The man had been trying to use a foreign credit card to purchase alcohol worth several hundred euros. The staff suspected somethig was not quite right and informed the police.

When the police officers arrived at the scene, they succeeded in catching the man in question in the act of trying to use what turned out to be a stolen credit card. They also found out that the man had already made a number of purchases in other branches of this business. The public prosecutor ordered the man’s arrest.
