Sara Jacoby, Director of the Luxembourg American Cultural Society & Center (LACS) in Wisconsin, has issued an appeal for Americans in Luxembourg to help with an upcoming visit to Luxembourg by members of the association.
The 2016 Discover Luxembourg Tour group of 30 Americans will be in Luxembourg from 5 – 17 September; on Wednesday 14 September, the group has a FREE DAY for tour participants to visit their ancestral village(s) in Luxembourg.
The LACS in need of volunteers from Luxembourg to serve as drivers/guides that day to assist with driving/guiding the tour participants. Sarah Jacoby describes the opportunity as “This is a wonderful experience of cultural exchange”.
Anyone who would be interested in picking up a couple of the tour participants at the Parc Hotel in Dommeldange at 09:30/10:00 and driving them to their ancestral village(s) please let Sara Jacoby know at email: [email protected] She will then share details of who they would be driving/guiding that day and the village or places they would like to visit!
It would be a fun day of getting to know some enthusiastic Luxembourg Americans and sharing the experience of them discovering their roots in Luxembourg.
