Three women were caught on Saturday attempting to leave a clothes store in Esch-sur-Alzette having attempted to steal nearly 50 items of clothing.
The original theft actually occurred on March 10, and an alarm was raised but the thieves were not caught, having managed to make off with nearly 50 items.
However the women foolishly returned to the store on Saturday and continued to steal items of clothing but this time an employee instantly recognised the three culprits and alerted the police.
As they tried to leave the store, Esch police were waiting for them. One women was caught red-handed carrying two bags of clothes still with the price tags hanging from them.
The total estimated value of the theft was close to 2000 euros.
All three women were promptly arrested.
