Luxembourg’s Prince joins China delegation

Luxembourg’s Hereditary Grand Duke will join an economic and finance mission to China starting Monday.

Prince Guillaume will join Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna as part of a delegation which will visit Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen from October 24 to 28.

The prince will have high-level interviews with representatives of the economic and financial world as well as with the Chinese authorities.

The delegation will also participate in seminars organised by Luxembourg for Finance on October 25 in Beijing, on October 27 in Shanghai and October 28 in Shenzhen. The seminars are aimed at financial professionals in each city.

During the visit, members of the group are expected to sign an agreement between the universities of Luxembourg and Fudan (Shanghai) for the establishment of a Confucius Institute.

It will be the second time the Hereditary Grand Duke visits China this year in a professional capacity. He and Princess Stéphanie visited China in May, 2016, as part of an economic mission focusing on trade.
