Bernard-Massard Honoured Twice by Decanter World Wine Awards

Bernard-Massard has announced that two of its products have received maximum distinctions at the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards.

This competition, organised by one of the most prestigious wine magazines in the world, is often considered as the “Oscars of the Wine World”. Some 17,500 wines participated in this year’s edition and, out of those, only 34 wines received “Platinum best in Show” and 175 “Platinum Best in Category” Medals.

For its first participation, Bernard-Massard won a Best in Show with its emblematic “Cuvée de l’Ecusson” and was considered by the jury as the best value sparkling wine of the competition. The 2014 Vintage “Millésimé” was crowned “best sparkling wine of Northern, Eastern and Central Europe”.

“Kudos to Luxembourg which, from just seven entries, took home a Platimun best in Show and a Best in Category for two exceptional sparklings”, Caroline Gilby – Master of Wine, (Decanter, August 2017)

To Bernard-Massard, this is a true achievement and a fantastic encouragement for their continuous efforts to deliver products of the highest quality at great value. It is also a nice opportunity to pinpoint Luxembourg on a world wine map and to give a great visibility to the Grand Duchy’s beloved but largely unknown wine region.
