Luxembourg celebrates sights & sounds of ‘Péckvillchen’

The little clay tweeting birds or “Péckvillchen”, are truly Luxembourg affair and tradition. On a sunny Easter Monday the sights and of course sounds of the little instruments filled the streets of the capital for “Emaischen” in and around the back of the Grand Ducal palace.

Many people turned out to tweet and buy a little “Péckvillchen” or two.

Check out the great photos of the event in the City.

Nospelt

Meanwhile a similar celebration took place in Nospelt, the place the tradition all began and the Péckvillchen are still made today…..
