The CFL (Luxembourg railways) has announced that, following the fatal accident near Zoufftgen on the Luxembourg-France border on Tuesday morning, the tracks are being cleared and refurbished, and that rail traffic will resumed on Tuesday on Line 90, linking Luxembourg and Thionville.

The rail refurbishment is to be completed during the day on Monday. Subsequently, passenger traffic will resume gradually from Tuesday 21 February 2017.

In the meantime, passenger transport will continue to be provided by alternative measures, for Saturday 18, Sunday 19 and Monday 20 February 2017.

Buses (line 300) will go from Luxembourg-Gare to Thionville from quai 19, and from Thionville to Luxembourg-Gare. This is also valid for TGV passengers travelling between Luxembourg-Gare and Paris (the TGV trains are currently operating only between Paris and Thionville).

From Bettembourg (Luxembourg) to Hettange-Grande (France), bus lines 323 and 302 are in operation hourly (trains will continue to operate from Luxembourg-Gare to Bettembourg).
