Luxembourg to Host International Military Challenge

On Thursday 21 September 2017, the Luxembourg Army will organise a joint military challenge for the sixth time in the Lultzhausen / Insenborn region.

The circuit of about 20 kilometres comprises more than 20 obstacles (terrestrial and aquatic). This course must be carried out by teams of four persons and the distance between the obstacles must be covered on foot.

Approximately 120 people have registered, some of them from foreign units. In addition to a dozen teams from the Luxembourg army, teams from the Grand-Ducal Police, Civil Defense, the Customs and Excise Administration, the Fire Services, the French Army, and the Belgian Army will also take up the challenge, bringing the total number of teams to 25.

The challenge will start on Wednesday September 2017 at the Herrenberg Plateau with a prologue test to determine the starting order of the next day. On 21 September 2017 at 08:00, the first team will start at Lultzhausen. The Military Challenge 2017 will be closed with a prize-giving ceremony for the best teams at the Diekirch Military Centre around 19:30.
