Record number of nearly 100,000 visitors at MUDAM last year

Almost 100,000 visitors, 97,081 to be precise, visited Luxembourg’s museum of modern arts MUDAM in the course of 2016. This represents a rise of 6.7% as compared to 2015, where 90,964 visited the museum in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

An impressive number of 11,000 visitors made their way to MUDAM on the weekend of July 2 and 3 alone, participating in the celebration of the 10-year-anniversary.

Hoping to attract similar numbers in 2017, the museum has already announced three new exhibitions starting on February 11.

The work of sculptor Tony Cragg will be on display until September 3, all facets of Darren Almond’s creations and the photographs of Samuel Gratacap will be exhibited until May 14.
