You can now fly direct to Nice with low cost airline

A new low cost flight has been launched between Luxembourg and Nice.

Spanish airline, Volotea, operates the twice weekly flights to the French Riviera which will become a permanent destination from Wednesday.

The flight will leave Luxembourg on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7.25pm, arriving Nice at 9.05pm, and will return from Nice on the same days, leaving at 5.25pm and landing in Luxembourg at 7pm.

There is already a flight to Nice with Luxair but Volotea offers passengers the option of travelling with a low cost airline.

According to a Luxembourg Airport spokeswoman there will be offers as low as five euros one way on the new Volotea flight and there are some last minute 30 euro journeys available in April.

She said: “With the economy car park at Luxembourg Airport costing five euros per day, three days away could be done at a very reasonable price.”

Other new destinations

Other new destinations have also been added to the list of places to fly from Luxembourg.

For the summer months only, Ryanair has added Madrid, Lisbon and Milan, with four weekly flights to all destinations.

Luxair is also launching new destinations this summer, including Alicante, Biarritz and Hurghada. Bari will also be added to the airline’s list as part of a LuxairTours package.

After a year of service Polish airline, LOT, has decided to double the number of flights between Luxembourg and Warsaw, offering a connection in the morning and evening from Monday to Friday.

Turkish Airlines will also increase the number of flights from Luxembourg from four flights a week to one a day.
