Luxaviation Belgium, part of the Luxaviation Group, has unveiled its new 4,000m² hangar facility at Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport, Belgium.
The hangar, officially opened on Thursday 17 November 2016 by Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu, Patrick Hansen, CEO Luxaviation Group, and Hervé Laitat, CEO Luxaviation Belgium, is part of a €4 million investment by the Luxaviation Group. The facility will provide space for up to 15 business aviation aircraft as well as housing the Belgian MRO facility of ExecuJet, also part of the Luxaviation Group.

Luxaviation Belgium’s new hangar is 100 metres long, 40 metres wide and 12 metres high – the largest building at Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport. The facility is located on the south side of the airport near the apron. Construction of the facility has taken more than two years; Ghelamco was the main contractor. The hangar floor is covered with a shiny topcoat in waterproof epoxy. This allows any small leaks to aircraft engines or hydraulic systems to be more easily detected.
