Prime Minister Inaugurates Upcycling Exhibition

The 5t exhibition of the INTRO_ series was inaugurated on Thursday 5 October 2017 by Xavier Bettel, in his function of Minister of Culture.

During the month of October, the INTRO_ series is dedicated to Upcycling; the designers Eric Marx, Shirely Dewilde and Stylianee Parascha are presentig to the public, among other things, their belongings, clothes and furniture, created according to the principle of Upcycling.

In his speech, PM Xavier Bettel stressed the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment, two central ideas in the concept of Upcycling. The latter consists of using objects and materials destined for disposal, in order to restore them with a value, a different use or a new destination in relation to their original function.

The exhibition is open until 29 October 2017, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 to 18:30 daily. The public will have the opportunity to learn the technique of Upcycling in an organised workshop on Sunday 22 October 2017 at 14:00 at the Beim Engel gallery in partnership with CELL (Center for Ecological Learning Luxembourg).

The closing of the exhibition will take place on Friday 27 October 2017 at 18:30.
