The President of France Emmanuel Makron and the Benelux countries met in Luxembourg to discuss European issues

French President Emmanuel macron, Dutch Prime Minister mark Rutte and Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel visited Luxembourg today to discuss European Affairs with Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel.

Prime Minister Xavier Bettel welcomed the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, as well as his Dutch and Belgian counterparts, Mark Rutte and Charles Michel, for a working meeting on current major European political topics at the castle of Bourglinster.

The meeting was followed, in the late afternoon, by a discussion in the context of the Citizens’ Consultations on Europe between Emmanuel Macron and Xavier Bettel and citizens about their perception of and expectations for the European Union. This event took place at the Philharmonie Luxembourg.
