Various supermarket chains have informed the Luxembourg food safety authorities of the recall of a Speculoos spread from the ‘Lotus’ make due to the possible presence of metallic particles.

The products were sold in Luxembourg at the Cactus, Colruyt and Auchan stores. They were removed from the shelves in these supermarkets but part of them had been sold already.

For this reason, the Luxembourg food safety authorities recommend that consumers should no longer consume the following product:

Speculoos spread crunchy Lotus, 700g, expiration dates concerned:

• 5 February 2018
• 18 February 2018
• 10 February 2018

Speculoos spread crunchy Lotus, 400g, expiration dates concerned:

• 18 February 2018
• 24 February 2018
• 28 February 2018
• 8 March 2018
• 16 March 2018

Only the products mentioned with the indicated expiration dates are concerned.

Consumers are requested to return the product to their store.
