Job numbers in Luxembourg’s banking sector are on the rise, according to figures published by Luxembourg’s Central Bank.
At the end of June 2016, a total 26,228 people were recorded as employed within banks in the Grand Duchy, up by 571 compared to the same time a year ago. Compared with the last quarter, the figure rose by 92 units.
In a second press release, Luxembourg’s Central Bank reported that the aggregated balance sheet for banks reached 774,933 euros by the end of June, up 0.1 percent compared to the end of May. It recorded 143 banks at the end of June.
